Victoria Scarratt BA(Hons), DipArch, RIBA
Victoria is the third generation in a family of architects, following in the footsteps of her grandfather and her mother, Anne, from whose practice Scarratt and Martyn evolved.
She trained at Plymouth School of Architecture, where both her final year thesis and dissertation received the prestigious RIBA Silver Medal nomination.
Victoria has a particular interest in historic buildings and a flair for extracting that all important bit of extra space from the tightest floor plan.
In her spare time Victoria is a keen rider and an accomplished clarinettist, who is happy to dabble in the garden and take the dogs for long walks - whatever the weather.
Gordon Martyn BA(Hons), DipArch(Dist), RIBA
Since graduating from Plymouth School of Architecture in 1990, Gordon has worked on an extraordinary variety of projects including a theatre, a London youth hostel, doctors surgeries, historic churches, numerous housing developments, and even the conversion of an old lime kiln.
He has a passion for architecture that utilises traditional materials in new and inventive ways, to create timeless contemporary buildings that harmonise with their surroundings.
Always mindful of the need to think in three dimensions, Gordon has a gift for exploiting volume and orientation to manipulate light and create pleasing spaces.
Outside of working hours, Gordon spends rather too much time trying to keep his rusty old MG on the road. He also plays the violin with a couple of local bands.
