We were engaged to identify and resolve defects in this historic harbour side shopfront, where severe water ingress was making the existing retail space un-lettable.

Working closely with a forensic building surveyor, we uncovered major faults in the bay window sills and leadwork detailing at first floor level. Facsimile sash windows were installed in conjunction with new lead trays, and repairs were undertaken to existing lead roofs, brickwork, and the timber frame shop frontage.

Upon completion, our clients – Milord Homes – were quickly able to successfully let this prime retail site as a gallery, and realise the full value of their asset.
