The former home of the playwright John Osborne with the 'best view in England', was bequeathed to the Arvon Foundation to become a residential centre for the teaching of creative writing.
The conversion of the eighteenth century house involved the creation of administration office space and apartments for the Centre Director and visiting lecturers. Set within the Shropshire hills, the estate provides an inspirational place to come and write. The project was partially funded by the Arts Council of England.
